New Post! New Post!

If you haven't noticed by now, I am much more of a "micro-blagggher".  If you look at my phone statement each month, aside from texting my BFF's, my text messages are used sending updates to Twitter and Facebook.  I have Twitter linked to this here nifty blahhhhg, and I recently Tweeted a link to this website, but I thought I would post it here for good measure.

I LOVE The Arcade Fire... yes, they are Canadian.  And lucky me (!) they have a new album out!  There is this awesome interactive website to go with it!  Their music evokes thought- sort of like The Decemberists whose lyrics tell a story, The Arcade Fire's songs are packed (I am sure ;) with meaning, and story, and are most likely crafted for the interpretation of the listener.  On top of all that lyrical goodness is a delicious sound.  Piano, guitar, drums= sweetness.  Check out not just their new album, but all of their stuff is highly recommended.

Here is a link to the website!

I dream crazy so I blahhhhhhhh-g about it.

I had a dream last night.  Or early this morning,  anyway- it was a weird one!  BUT, aside from dad "hitting" an African soccer player with a bus, all the mud, two dogs, and volcanic Japanese mountains/rickshaw rides up them to a Japanese restaurant (and mom griping about why Dad chose the muddy 3rd world Japan in my dream for vacation), James Franco was there.  James freaking Franco.  The best part was that he was actually like his character from Pineapple.
Love.

Music is Blahhhh these days, so I must Blahhhhh-g about "new" stuff I am listening to.

I just downloaded the new album by local Utah band Neon Trees.  My friend Jenny's little brother is in the group and they are fantastic!  It is refreshing Indie-rock/pop, and it puts me in a sunny mood.  I NEED sun right now!  The album makes me feel like I am cruising the PCH.  Ahhhhhhh.  Anyway, Jenny is a proud sister, and in support of her ( I love her!) and Dave- who I've never actually met because he apparently has something against girls who like the Jonas Brothers (ha!), here is a link to their website http://fameisdead.com/ .  They also just performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!  I didn't see it, but I am sure you could youtube the performance.

I've also been listening to:
Phoenix (along the same lines as Neon Trees)

"Resistance" by Muse

"If We Ever Meet Again" by Timbaland, feat. Katy Perry (disco throw-back!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDKva-s_khY

"Yes" by LMFAO (get the edited version- lyrics are clever, YES!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F22fevY1bFo. . . and for fun "I Left My Heart in Scandinavia" performed by none other than Kevin Jonas!  He has a great voice for someone who sings backup in their group.  It's a fun little ditty from their show "JONAS."

Check um' out- listen to music, it equals life and makes things happy again.

The end.
